Alexandria was originally built for round-the-world family cruising and is a
very low maintenance, displacement motor yacht. Alexandria was designed
by naval architects Michel Joubert and Bernard Nivelt, and built by OCEA
Shipbuilding in France in 2004. Alexandria is a 32.5m Commuter 108 and is a true, go anywhere superyacht.
With excellent sea-handling capabilities and ruggedly engineered, she has
already circumnavigated the world and proven to be a safe, economical,
comfortable and particularly sea-worthy yacht, coming from a shipyard that is
known for fast patrol boats, designed to go anywhere in wartime. Alexandria's classical exterior profile boasts a striking dark grey
aluminium hull, which is complemented by a classic white aluminium
superstructure, giving her the appearance of a gentleman's yacht. Two MTU
engines (600hp each) propel her to a cruising speed of 12 knots, and at full
revs she is capable of speeds of up to 16 knots, but more importantly she
boasts a 4,000 nautical mile range at 10 knots. Alexandria's elegant interior is fully equipped with all modern amenities
and adorned with a tasteful interior decor. Decorated with guest comfort
foremost in mind, the main salon is extremely inviting with comfortable leather
sofas and tables serving as loose furniture. The adjacent dining salon has a
large square table surrounded by fixed leather seating. Dark woods are
used throughout and complemented with light, soft furnishings and nautical
detailing. Accommodation aboard Alexandria is for ten guests across four staterooms,
including a full-width master suite with a study area, a further double cabin,
and one twin cabin. Forward in the bow, there is an additional spacious twin
berth cabin. Alexandria is also capable of carrying up to five crew on board,
ensuring guests are treated to a luxurious and pampered experience. On deck, Alexandria has a large dining and seating area aft of the main
salon. There is also a very spacious sunbathing and seating area forward on
this deck. Up on the sun deck, there's further seating with a table for
alfresco dining, along with optional shade courtesy of the bimini cover. With storage space for ample tenders and water toys, Alexandria really is
the perfect family cruising yacht, which is exactly what her original owners
intended her to be. |
