AMADEUS is a Diesel Duck 55’ (58' LOA) LRC from the design boards of George Buehler with LESS THAN 300 HOURS on the John Deere main engine and Northern Lights generator as of Sept 2020. Built at the American owned and operated Seahorse Shipyard in China, and is among a series of many successful, economical Diesel Ducks from 35' to 78'. The honey teak interior is practically new and practical! Very comfortable, almost equal Master and VIP private suites, each with en-suite separate head and shower compartments. Each equally appointed in 1st class yacht finish. The galley is generous and gourmet ready. 360 view pilot house/on deck salon. Great enclosed cruising space with wonderful cross cabin ventilation. BASIC SPECS: LOA: 58’ LOD: 55’ DRAFT: Approx. 6’ SPEED: Cruising 8 Knots / Max 10 Knots EXTERIOR DESCRIPTION: The hull is a hard-chine George Buehler design with moderate dead-rise, a shallow 3/4 length keel, a nearly plumb bow, and a plumb transom stern fitted with a swim step. There are half-pipe rub rails on the hull sides and bulwarks. Keel shoe protects prop and rudder. Decks and Cabin Tops: There is a short well-deck with Muir windlass forward followed by a flush teak fore-deck extending from the well-deck to the pilothouse, with seat lockers fitted along the forward face of the pilothouse. Side decks lead aft on either side of the raised pilothouse and a step up to a raised, full-width aft deck fitted with a freshly varnished center line table with fore-and-aft bench seats to port and starboard, and a s.s. ladder to port leading to the flying bridge. The pilothouse features forward raked windshields, a double side door to starboard opens to the main cabin and pilothouse. A flying bridge is over the main cabin and is fitted with a full console helm station forward, followed by bench seating, a hinged radar mast and bimini top. The decks and forward cabin are overlaid with teak renewed in 2020. S.S rails atop safety bulwarks surround the decks, and high quality S.S rails surround the flying bridge. At the transom there is a s.s. ladder to the painted swim platform hung off the transom with s.s. swim step. Excellent water access. There are chain plates and mast bases for a ketch rig. No rig. INTERIOR DESCRIPTION: Lower Deck: In the bow there is a chain locker. Next aft there is the VIP stateroom with an island queen berth forward, a screened hatch in the overhead, and hanging locker and drawer stowage to port, starboard and under. A passageway leads aft with a head compartment to port and a stall shower opposite to starboard. The lower salon follows aft from the VIP and is fitted with an L-shaped settee to starboard followed by a desk aft and curved steps leading up to the pilothouse. An L-shaped settee with varnished pedestal table is opposite to port followed by the generous L-shaped galley. A passageway to port leads aft with galley and granite counters out board and a washer/dryer also outboard with generous engine access inboard. There are 15 round, dogged opening ports with screens on the lower deck for excellent cross ventilation, light and waterline views. The master stateroom is aft and is fitted with an island queen berth aft on center line, hanging locker stowage forward to port, followed by a short settee to port and an en-suite head compartment forward to starboard, including a separate stall shower. Watertight bulkheads and doors or hatches are installed at the chain locker, forward salon and aft engine-room bulkheads. Main Deck: The traditional chart table and chart drawers sit over the engine-room forward to port. A full-console helm station forward on center-line has a leather helm seat with Furuno, B+G, Icom wrap around electronics. A double door accessing the side deck outboard to starboard provides a large threshold, great ventilation and easy access to the deck. Steps leading down to the lower deck accommodations are to starboard forward, and a raised bench seat with pedestal table aft to port with a pilot berth over. There are opening, screened windows on 3 sides of the pilot house/upper salon. A watertight door aft to starboard opens onto the aft deck. The pilot house will seat 6 comfortably.
