Viking continues its dominance of the sportfishing yacht industry with the Viking 68, a four-stateroom blue-water convertible with unmatched performance, bulletproof construction, luxury interior accommodations and advanced propulsion and boat-control technologies. The 68 C is designed and engineered to function equally as well as a tournament-ready offshore runner and a cruising yacht with all the conveniences and technology that you’ve come to expect from Viking. Anglers do battle in a 176-square foot cockpit, while guests can watch from an air-conditioned observation mezzanine. Running on Viking’s proven hull shape with a 12.1-degree transom deadrise, this beautiful battlewagon delivers a soft ride in rough seas. An aggressively raked stem, gently sloping sheer, swept-back black-masked windshield and flying bridge brow present a powerful yet elegant picture.

| The 68' is so impressive with her breathtaking sheer, raked house with extended aft flybridge overhang and softly rolled brow. The 68' boasts a 186 square foot cockpit with mezzanine deck and transom radius. The interior salon of the 68' leaves nothing to be desired in size. It is very spacious. This one gives off a rich feel, adding just the right custom accents to dress it out tastefully. The U-shaped, larger-style dinette was customized to accommodate six comfortably. It adjoins the elongated L-shaped settee to starboard via a Teak bulkhead. The offset of this arrangement to the adjacent curved aft galley island and bar stool arrangement makes for a very roomy and accommodating salon set up. To top it all off, from any of the mentioned vantage points everyone has a clear view of the Sony 42" electrically activated pop-up TV out of the port side credenza. Both the salon stereo and TV can be enjoyed with Bose LS48 surround sound. One cannot get enough of Vikings new richer, high-gloss Teak finish so the salon was finished off with custom solid Teak valances with Teak blind covers and lambrequins trimmed in solid Teak. The accommodations below carry the most practical and spacious of 4 stateroom, 4 head layouts offered today in a tournament series convertible. As you enter each stateroom or walk-in closet take notice of the curved Teak-framed archways of the doorways to each room and/or closet. The first stateroom you will come to down the companionway is the crew quarters, which is aft and down two steps to port with large bunks, a full shower stall and head arrangement, this crew is as generous as they come. Also included is the convenient engine room access to the crew quarters, which is a must. A nice sized upper and lower berth guest stateroom lies off the companionway to starboard with shared guest head and shower. All heads of this vessel are outfitted with Corian or granite countertops, upgraded hardware, mirrored ceilings and custom Amtico flooring. The master is mid-ship with an athwartship king size bed with lift-up storage below. Two walk-in his and her closets lie along the aft bulkhead. A 30" flat screen TV trimmed in Teak is flushmounted into the adjacent wall. The forward stateroom offers the preferred VIP crossover berth arrangement, beautiful Teak upper cabinets lining the V-berth and large hanging locker. There is also a private head and shower adjoining this stateroom. Viking once again outshined the competition with their introduction of the center lined walk-around helm console on the flybridge of the 74' Viking. This flybridge with its centerline helm configuration offers symmetrical seating on both port & starboard sides of the flybridge. It is so well responded with its functional maneuverability around the bridge, clean look and tremendous seating accommodation that they incorporated this bridge layout into the 68'. Aside from two long bench seats, with aft-facing jump seats and backrests, the layout provides a large refrigerator and freezer storage forward of the helm. There is also a fiberglass drink cooler forward to starboard with a fresh water outlet below. Ample rod storage lies below the port & starboard flybridge bench seats. At the helm there is a convenient electric drop down instrumentation box overhead. |
